I met up with Sherlyn and Kevin on Sunday afternoon on the Northwestern Campus. Kevin found some great hidden gems including a beautiful garden which allowed for an awesome green backdrop. The lake breeze was a little chilly, but our laughter and fun with their little dog Raleigh kept our minds off it most of the time. I look forward to capturing many more moments on their special day in August!!

Ashwini + Sarang
Ashwini and Sarang are planning their wedding in Ashwini's home state of California. She was in town visiting Sarang, and Chicago, this week so Sunday we took a little tour of the big city for some fun engagement shots. It was great getting to know you guys while we walked around Millennium Park and the Art Institute. Here are some of my favorite moments.

Ben + Sabina :: Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum :: Chicago Wedding
It was a pleasure sharing the day with Ben and Sabina Saturday. There were many exciting moments, including meeting up with the Chicago Tribune at Millennium Park (watch for the article on top wedding sites for portraits coming soon!!) The ceremony was held in the beautiful St. Giles Parish in Oak Park, we then followed Ben and Sabina as they drove Ben's recently restored Thunderbird to Millennium Park for photos, ending up at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum for plenty of dancing with tunes courtesy of A DJ Service.

White Pines Inn
For the past few days I was on a little mother/daughter get-a-away to Mt. Morris, IL. We stayed at the White Pines Inn located in the midst of White Pines Forest State Park. The grounds were just gorgeous and we couldn't have asked for better hiking weather. Here are a few shots from our hikes. Happy Mother's Day Mom!

Katherine + Rudd
These two were so fun to chat and hang out with. The rain looked like it was going to hold off but then just as we reached the museum campus sprinkles had us running to cover. Someone was looking out for us though and it only lasted about 5 minutes. I never thought I would be so intrigued by bird watching, but if you took a walk with Katherine and Rudd I bet you would be pointing out species in no time!! Rudd also had this awesome idea of flying their kite...well I guess he'd taken it out for a couple of test drives with no luck and unfortunately when we were out it wasn't much different. We had a lot of fun trying though!! Thanks again for a great shoot.

Watch Out Chicago, Models on the Rise!
Jaida & Tayanna met me at a wedding last October when they were flower girls for one of my couples. They have been in modeling, but were in need of updated comp cards. I was excited when I heard from their mom asking if I would be able to help. These two did such a great job. We shot for three hours, 4 different outfits and I had them smiling the whole time. It was a blast! Thanks for working so hard girls, it will be worth it once we get your comp cards together for your agents.

Wolfe Family
It was fun to hang out with the Wolfe family Sunday morning. Their oldest is graduating high school, so we concentrated on a senior portrait and then some family shots out in their backyard.

Mia + Ryan :: Chicago History Museum :: Chicago Wedding
Mia and Ryan had a beautiful day this past Saturday. We started off at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, made a quick stop at the Lincoln Park south pond and then ventured over to the Chicago History Museum for the reception. A Stem Above did an amazing job on the florals and Dustin from Toast and Jam greeted everyone during cocktail hour with some amazing tracks. I am just beginning to go through all their images, but here are a few that I remember shooting and couldn't wait to take a closer look at.
