Big News for Amanda Hein Photography!

I just wanted to take a little time to thank all of my outstanding clients, friends, and family for a wonderful 2007. Many of you have experienced the growth of Amanda Hein Photography during the past 3 years and it's about to grow even more. I am so excited to announce that Amanda Hein Photography will be opening a new studio space in the West Loop.

I hope to have the space ready for meetings and shooting mid-January 2008. This will be a much needed space for my wedding clients' meetings, showings, and an additional space for shooting. I will still be doing most of my shooting on location, but I think it will add a great option for my natural kids portraits and head shots.

Keep tuned in as I finish up the studio, I hope to have some pictures in the up-coming weeks as I finish getting the space ready!

Amelia & Harrison

These two little kiddos were so fun. I don't think my laughing contests have ever been so loud!! It was fun to be able to capture their love for each other and also have time with them individually to show off their sweetness.

Portraits Galore!!

I apologize for not posting in the last couple of weeks, I have just caught up a bit from an extravaganza of shooting! I have compiled some of my favs from the past month to give you an idea of what I've been up to. I hope everyone has a Happy and Safe Thanksgiving!!!

Mike and April braved the cold this past Sunday to squeeze their engagement session in before the snow.  We had such a fun time walking around the city; this is a great example of getting the city vibe from not such obvious 'city spots.'

Another shared session by cousins led to much excitement!  Baby Jack was all smiles when it was his turn.

I love sharing time with each child individually, this gives me time to get to know each of them and allow them to connect with the camera.

Ava is back, some of you might remember the maternity shoot I did with this little cutie and her mommy.  The new arrival is here and it was so fun to be able to meet little Claire and see what a caring big sister Ava has become.

Edan is always on the move, so when I chat with his mom about planning his sessions we're constantly trying to think of new ideas to keep him busy.  Annette, his mom, came up with an awesome idea of doing something a little different for xmas this year.  I just love this more editorial style shot of Edan in the tub!  We're trying to come up with a slogan for the xmas card, if you think of anything be sure to let us know!

These eyes just want to make you melt don't they??  Another new arrival from a past client of mine.  'Tis the season!

Here's big Sis Mia!

This little 'born to be model' is always a joy to work with.  We laugh, sing, and dance all the way through the shoot.  This is another great example of my editorial portrait style.

Ben + Sabina

These two college sweethearts met in marching band at Illinois. We had a perfect fall day to capture their excitement. The Morton Arboretum was in full force and provided us with some great settings. I had such a blast shooting with them and I look forward to their wedding next year!

Jacque + Mike

Tuesday night was a lot of fun shooting with Jacque and Mike. We took a quick tour around the city and hit up some great spots. These two are tying the knot in St. Louis so I was honored to be able to capture their engagement in the big city. There were so many good ones, but here a just a few of my favorites!

Sunday morning was busy with portraits! A group of cousins gathered for a day filled with running around, playing games, intense wii tournaments, and a photo session with me! It was so fun to meet each of the kids, they each had a different personality to catch. Here are some of my favorites of each:

During the next couple of days I will be setting up a new blog that will be more interactive for you! This new set up will allow you to search through the archives by keywords, post comments, and hopefully encourage me to post more often!
