Tyler + Megan

This past week my husband and I took our yearly mid-summer trip to recoup and refocus for the second half of the year. Don't worry that blog post is coming soon....So you're probably wondering what the heck that has to do with Tyler and Megan...On our drive out to Colorado we stopped in Des Moines to meet up with my college buds. I had a special treat in store for my great friend Megan. We set up an impromptu engagement session!! I will be shooting Megan and Tyler's big day this October, I was so glad to be able to squeeze this session in for them before they say I DO. It was a HOT one to say the very least - but we had a great time! Thanks to the perfect timing of Tyler's recent purchase, we had a nice prop to play with!! See you in October!!

Dave + Tara :: Art Institute Ballroom :: Chicago Wedding

PARTY!! Dave and Tara tied the knot in Chicago July 19th. It was such a BLAST!! These two have such an amazing sense of humor and fun loving attitude. Despite the HIGH temps, they shrugged the sweat like champs. We had a lot of fun doing portraits around the city - even managed to jam out with live music in Millennium Park. The end of the night was held at the School of the Art Institute Ballroom - I must say it was quite the find!! Live music was rocked out by Grammy Award-Winning Band: Brave Combo. Thanks you two for such a fun-filled day!

Dan + Haley

Dan and Hayley are the definition of sweet. It was so easy for me tell how much they value their family and friends by the little gestures they made throughout the day. Everyone was such a blast to work with! The Ceremony and Reception were held in Michigan City, Indiana. Props to Dan for giving one of the best Groom toasts to date, I don't think there was a dry eye in the crowd. It was such a pleasure to be a part of such a beautiful day - here are a few of my favorite moments!

Sean + Ashley :: Lincoln Park Zoo :: Chicago Wedding

Not your average day at the Zoo, but what a special one it was. Surrounded by family, life vests, water and the beautiful views of the South Pond at Lincoln Park Zoo, Ashley and Sean tied the knot. After three years of being engaged this intimate ceremony solidified their contagious love for each other. This was such a blast and what a perfect fit for their silly fun loving personalities. I am so glad I was able to be a part of your special Wednesday afternoon field trip! :)

Michelle + Adam

TROOPERS!! That's all I can say. After having to reschedule once already because of storms these two love birds were determined to stand up to the rain. Well it paid off...BIG TIME! Michelle and Adam are planning a wedding in California so hopefully they won't have to worry about our crazy Chicago weather following them! As the skies opened up we took a little break by Adler to watch the rain. It rushed over us and made for some pretty dramatic skyline shots after the storm. Thanks for a great shoot you two, here's a sneak peek!!

Matt + Jill

Talk about rolling with the punches. The weather on Saturday was giving us such a tease, but Matt, Jill and the rest of their family weren't going to let anything interfere with their excitement. Makray Memorial Golf Club in Barrington offered us many great backdrops, we even got to play around on the golf carts! Congratulations you two and ALOHA!
